Harry Kane :
The sporting hero of our times

Stephen Gulbis (football artist) guessed it right few years back with this super hero sketch. England’s captain Harry Kane last week has joined forces with Leyton Orient football club by sponsoring their shirts next season and donating the space to three good causes.

The club’s home strip will carry a message of thanks to frontline workers tackling the coronavirus pandemic. Mental health charity Mind and Haven House Children’s Hospice will have their logos on Orient’s two change shirts as part of the deal.

Harry besides being a talented football player, has always been a giver from the heart. He helped kids with cancer, disabilities and other diseases putting a smile on their face.

-but what are the effects of this partnership in just only one week from the announcement?

  • Leyton Orient F.C. sold more official club T-shirts in the last week than what they sold in one year
  • Orient club renewed instantly their backshirt sponsorship
  • Partnership was in the main news of BBC, Al Jazeera, iTV and ESPN
  • Rejuvenated similar efforts from sporting celebrities to sponsor charity organisation

For once and for all creativity, carrying and right fit in a partnership prevails over meaningless campaigns counting eyeballs.
